School Back in Session!

"When we say that 'we are always participating in something larger than ourselves,' it's important to remember that we is not a homogeneous term. There are multiple we's in social life and it's an important part of sociological practice to see how that fact affects what happens" (Johnson, The Forest and the Trees, 35).
Classes started on Tuesday the 19th. I'm hoping to graduate next fall with only four more classes to complete after these (fingers crossed)! I'm enrolled in: Research Methods; Theory; Sociology of Law; and Race, Class, and Gender Studies (all sociology courses.)
For my theory class, my professor is grading us on blog entries (on the course website) concerning classic theorists and reading we will be completing. I'm hoping that it will also encourage me to work on this blog as well... and I think it will.
Happy New Year again everyone!

P.S. I'm trying a new look as well. Can't figure out the text though.. I would like the title to be on the left of the picture, but I don't have any photo programs on my computer. Luckily, not too many people read this anyways haha!

I love the new look and the photo is precious. Now I'll have to come up with something new for mine - but not until February. Classes sound intense. Good luck in all of them.
Love, Mom

Aw thanks! Yeah, the picture was taken about 3 years ago, but still looks like me I think. Good luck with your exam and I'm sure I'll be talking to you before then!
